Super 7 Road Competition
The Super 7 Competition began in the 2002–03 race year. It is a points-based series where a member’s best seven (7) eligible road race performances for the year are combined to determine the overall score. Performances are age-graded using World Masters Athletics Road Age Standards, which allocate points based on age and gender. The highest total score wins.
Trophies are awarded to the top seven (7) finishers each season.
Eligibility & Scoring
- A maximum of four (4) Terrigal Trotters 10km Time Trials may be included.
- Any recognised* 10km to Marathon road race on an independently certified course may be used for scoring.
- Recognised 10km to Marathon road races on uncertified courses may also be included if independent evidence of the actual race distance exists; the Results Coordinator(s) may adjust recorded distances where appropriate.
- All finishing times are age-graded using the World Masters Athletics WMA Road Age Standards, producing a performance score out of 1,000 points.
- Where both gun time and net time are available, the net time is used for scoring.
- A member’s best seven (7) age-graded scores are totalled to determine their final Super 7 points for the season.
- For all non-Trotters events, it is the participant’s responsibility to notify the Results Coordinator of their race result.
- Competitors must compete under their own name and cannot use another entrant’s bib under any circumstances.
* A “recognised” race is one that is publicly advertised in standard online running calendars and open to the general public.

Trail 4 Competition

- The competition year runs from 1 July to 30 June.
- Members must attend at least fourteen (14) Saturday runs in the year to qualify.
- Only performances recorded after a member has earned their Trotter Number count.
- Only properly run and timed events following standard race rules and distances are included.

Trail 4 Competition
The Trail 4 Competition is a point score series where a member’s four best trail running performances for the year are totalled to determine the final result. Eligible distances are any trail events of 10km or longer but less than 50km. Points are calculated using World Masters Athletics age-standard tables, with additional course adjustment factors applied. The member with the highest total score wins, and trophies are awarded to the top three finishers.
Eligibility and Scoring
- Members may earn points in any trail running event of 10km or longer but less than 50km, not only those listed on the club calendar.
- If a course is shorter than the listed distance in the program, the course adjustment factor for the longer event applies.
- The Committee may add new events to the eligible list if more than one Trotter competes in that event.
- Members must complete at least four eligible trail events in the financial year to qualify for the competition.
- Where both gun time and net time are available, the net time is used for scoring.
- Participants are responsible for notifying the Results Coordinator of their race results.
- Competitors must compete under their own name and may not use another runner’s entry under any circumstance.
Points Calculation
- A raw age-graded score is calculated using World Masters Athletics age-standard tables, producing a rating out of 1,000 points.
- The raw score is multiplied by a Course Adjustment Factor (CAF) based on the winning time and the winner’s ITRA Performance Index.
- The four highest adjusted scores for each member are totalled to determine the final Trail 4 result.

AG Points Calculator
WMA InfoWorld Master Athletics (WMA) Models
The WMA factors are maintained by Howard Grubb (UK) and provide a mechanism to compare the performance of runners compared to
world record times enabling clubs such as Terrigal Trotters to compare the performance of runners independent of age.
The Aggregate Points are calculated using the WMA 15 road factors.
Further information about the factors can be found here
